On Tuesday, July 1, the Albuquerque Bar Association will host a Candidates Forum for the New Mexico Court of Appeals, featuring incumbent Judge J. Miles Hanisee, the Republican nominee, and appellate lawyer Kerry C. Kiernan, the Democratic nominee. Their respective campaign websites are here and here.
The forum will also feature the candidates for New Mexico Attorney General, State Auditor Hector Balderas, the Democratic nominee, and former prosecutor and judge Susan Riedel, the Republican nominee.
This event will take place on Tuesday, July 1, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1000 Woodward Place NE in Albuquerque. You can register for it here.
Following the forum, the Albuquerque Bar Association is also hosting a CLE program to review the October 2013 Term of the Supreme Court of the United States, from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. This program will feature Associate Professor Dave Sidhu of UNM Law School; Distinguished Professor of Law Jim Ellis of UNM Law School; Associate Dean and Professor Max Minzer of UNM Law School; and Andrew G. Schultz of the Rodey Law Firm.
